Accessibility

Built for everyone.

We're committed to making trymeltdown.com usable for every person who lands on it — keyboard, screen reader, low vision, motion-sensitive, or anything in between.

Our standard

We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across all customer-facing pages. We test every release against real assistive tech — VoiceOver on iOS and macOS, NVDA on Windows, and keyboard-only navigation. We're not perfect, and we don't pretend to be — this page tells you what works, what doesn't yet, and how to flag a gap.

What we've built in

Keyboard navigation

Every interactive element — variant pills, flavor toggle, accordions, sticky CTA, payment buttons — is fully reachable and operable via Tab, Enter, and Space. Focus rings are visible and high-contrast.

Screen reader support

Variant and flavor selectors use ARIA roles (radiogroup / radio with aria-checked). Images have descriptive alt text. Hidden labels are present for form inputs. Buttons announce state changes.

Color contrast

Body text on the dark background sits at 14:1 contrast. Headings sit at 19:1. The melt-orange accent is reserved for non-essential color cues and is paired with a second visual signal (text, icon, or border).

Motion & touch

We avoid auto-playing motion. Hover effects are subtle and never load-blocking. Touch targets are minimum 44×44px. Tap-delay is disabled on iOS for buttons.

Known gaps we're working on

  • Captions — our tutorial videos don't have closed captions yet. ETA: end of this quarter.
  • Reduced-motion preference — our scroll animations respect prefers-reduced-motion on most pages but not all yet.
  • Loox review widget — third-party widget; we've raised contrast issues with Loox and they're rolling out a fix.

Tell us if something's broken

If a part of this site isn't working for you, please email hello@trymeltdown.com with the subject line "Accessibility" and a description of what you ran into. We respond within 24 hours and prioritize accessibility fixes ahead of new features.

Phone & voice support

We don't have a phone line — every interaction is over email so we have a written record. If you need help and can't use the site, email hello@trymeltdown.com and we'll work with you to place an order, process a return, or answer a question over plain-text email or voice memo.
